Sunday 25th August, My 1st movie outside bangalore!!

Decided to go watch inception today!!Along with vivek and also Vinayak who came from Manipal with his gay friends...We met up in front of NITK main gate and then headed for Bharath Mall in Mangalore...the closest mall to Suratkal....Around 20 kms from my college!!!



Vinayak was still the same old assol....No change at all..... was cribbing for 3 hours continuous coz i came 5 minutes late!!

The movie was amazing .....The climax was double amazing !!! Now I wont give full details about the movie.....You can read reviews of it on other places on the net!!!



After the movie we were all hungry to the core...And vinayak was as stubborn as usual....he wanted to have only in a Chinese Restaurant that too only in Haomings....Idiot made us get lopst in the process...Anyways it was a nice experience.........Got to kno half of Mangalore that way!! :D


After all this I came to NITK..Instead of heading back to my room I immediately headed for the beach........The beach is an amazing place to chill out......you can sit there and stare at the waves for hours continuously and you wont realise the time pass by....

24th of August,my 1st weekend in NITK

Enjoyed a lot 2day

On saturday I went to the football pitch to see how good (or how bad :P) the guys are here.......N i was amazed!!! I thought in NITK dey'll be full nerdy guys so everyone will be playin chess here and not physical sports like football and basketball!!!But its entirely the opposite !!They play amazing football here and hardly anyone even plays chess!!! :D

I as usual showed off a lot , dint play very well , acted like one big don.....but nevertheless, enjoyed very very much!!!



Then headed back to my room , took some rest and started playin football again!! This time in the corridor!!With a small rubber ball!!!Made two teams, all guys from my hostel wing and we played with all rules in place!!EVERYTHIN includin penalties ,throw ins, corners , fouls !!!:D All these in a 1.5metre wide corridor adjacent to our rooms!!! The throw ins were taken from inside the rooms,the corners from the toilet door and there were fouls atleast twenty times more than that in the FIFA 2010 WC final!!!:DPlayed like this till 12 midnight!! :D



So overall, my 1st weekend was "Football day" for me!!!:D

Life in NITK is just gettin tougher!

2day is just the 3rd day of proper classes here in NITK and already its gettin stressful.I have other amazing things here like the swimming pool,3 badminton courts,Football pitch,4 TT tables,this computer centre itself and last but not the least is THE BEACH but I feel in a week's time they'll be absolutely no time for all these..

The biggest reason why I feel the stress here is coz everyone here are amazing learners.After all we all slogged like hell for gettin through AIEEE with a good rank and then joining this institute!!!

Moreover none of us are provided with any study material so if you dont wanna buy them your only options are to study your own notes or to visit the library.Our library is fantastic but most of the times you dont find specifically what you are lookin for or the book what you want will already be issued...On top of all this I'm not allowed to issue any books right now coz I havent received my ID card yet.This makes life more hard...

For example,our maths professor is an amazing teacher but what the topic taught today was very abstract and I dint understand half of what he was speakin.I visited the library immediately only to get more confused.Coz the method used in the book was different and more complez than that explained already!!!

My seniors will be coming back soon.......Guess I'll just ask them how they managed.....

Today,The 21st of July...1st day classes

It was ok 2day...not a stressful day....but it'll get very hard l8r....Classes from 7:55 AM to 5:00 PM with only 1 hour lunch break from 12 to 1..

Subjects here hav ultra weird names....."Professional communication" and "Engineerin mechanics!".....dey cud hav simply called it "English" n "Statics" respectively!!! :-D

2day der was no P.C a.k.a "English"....It started off in d mornin wid "ELEMENTS to ELECTRICAL ENGG"(y cant dey chumma call it "Electrical"??)...He did nothin but scare us tellin d no. of surprise tests n quizes n d level of competition here.....

But d higlight of d day was d Engineerin mechanics class by Dr.Ramesh a Phd holder in some field i dont care!!!:D.....He's d most hilarious professor ever!!!These were some of d dialogues he left 2day!! :D

"Newton's second law:Force is proportional to rate "IN" change of momentum......so it is proportional to mass into VELOCITY!!!V'LL DIVIDE BY TIME LATER!!!":D

"Rigid bodies are divided into two types :Rigid and Non-Rigid!!":D

"Giv example of a particle...(now ,My roommate answers "a car moving on a road wid respect to earth")........No dats not a good example....aeroplane in sky is perfect example!!!"

"Give example of a rigid body....(Again my same roommate answers "metals").....not a good example....metals expand on heatin..Best example is granite or glass....with applicatin of force it'll just break...Perfectly rigid!!!):D

I was sittin in 1st bench....was tryin really hard not to laugh!!So was vivek who was sittn next to me...

Well after this joker's class, teachers came n went....Nothin special happened....Just came bk to hostel....n den to CCC(dat stands 4 central comp centre) n started makin dis blog.

I'm Kiran Karanth........Just joned nitk now in my 1st year B.tech....I'm in IT 4 now...may land up in some other branch soon....

Well 2day past 2 days i've been busy adjustin 2 d ultra nerdy life here.....must get used 2 it :-(.....its tough.

I'm missin my family n also my "kickass" frenz back in bangalore...i guess makin dis blog n sharin my experiences will be d best way 2 communicate wid dem...:).....it'll b somethin like an online diary :)
